Kathy Keating is the VP Technology for Ad Hoc, a government digital services consultancy focused on helping agencies better serve the people. Kathy’s 400+ technologists across product, engineering, experience, and data deliver positive outcomes through their work on digital properties such as healthcare.gov and va.gov in addition to other government agencies and nonprofits.
Kathy has the unique ability to visualize the big picture, architect the complex technology to achieve the goal, and also lead the team to success. She has led several companies through rapid growth and has founded twice.
Kathy has dedicated her career to leveraging technology to solve some of the most complex business and social challenges facing us. Her early software development with companies like Monster, Fidelity and Digital Equipment produced several complex, large-scale software platforms that many of us still interact with on a daily basis today. Kathy has led both multi-discipline teams, including Engineering and Product, for most of her technology leadership career.
More recently her strategic leadership has laid the foundation for growth for companies like Webroot, Autopay, and Apostrophe. Apostrophe, Kathy’s second founding role, is an alumni of the Techstars Boulder accelerator in 2017 and was acquired by Centivo in 2021.
Kathy fosters trust as the foundation for collaboration, accountability, and inclusion which enables her teams to stay focused on what matters to the business. Kathy is active in global CTO communities, the local Colorado startup community including as an organizer of the Denver Leadership Meetup.
Kathy is an active mentor in the Techstars accelerator program and a global Techstars All-Star Mentor. She sits on two non-profit boards, and advises several companies and leadership. Together we can achieve so much more.
